The Writer's Menu

When I'm writing, I would usually be so busy, that I don't think to go to the kitchen and grab something to eat. (Yeah, I'm guilty of skipping meals. Ugh.) But when I'm able to get up from the computer to grab something, then it's usually something handy. (I can definitely say the same thing, whenever I'm working as an online tutor.)

Now, the idea behind this blog post came from when I was looking through my Mobile Uploads on Facebook. And sure enough, I had found this photo.
(from January 8, 2019)

This is a picture of having a Cherry Coke and a Special K Protein Shake (Rich (Dark) Chocolate flavor, by the way) next to my laptop computer. When I found this picture again, I was thinking: Yeah, that makes sense. A writer has to feed him/herself at some point, right? It may not seem much, but at that time, I was hard at work with either writing or online tutoring. You just got to do what you need to do. I'm not ashamed to admit that.

However, there's also the idea of making time for a full meal. That can happen. The key is to schedule, schedule, schedule. I carry a planner all the time, and I make To-Do lists all the time. So, in my book, there's no excuse for not feeding yourself. Even as I was writing this blog post, I had to stop at some point, and make myself something to eat (By the way, today's lunch was a hot dog with Cheez-its and a glass of Big Red).

So, being a writer means having to multitask at times, even when it comes to food.
