One of the Best Gifts to Get a Writer...

(Mind you, there's more than one gift idea that may be mentioned in this blog; so there may be a 2- or 3-parter for this one. But for now, I want to talk about what I've gotten recently.)

This past Sunday (03/10/19), I was at a baby shower, and I won one of the party games. And what was my prize? This lovely motivational journal! (By the way, this journal here says "Strong is the new pretty." Awesome!)

You know, I'm always happy whenever someone gives me a journal--any journal. And you might be asking "Why, Veronica?"
Well, since I'm a writer, and I like to write all the time, getting another journal was always something special to me.
And yeah, this may seem strange to some people. But back when I was in school (high school, specifically), while all the other girls wanted girlie stuff like make-up, cell phones, etc., I would usually ask for writer stuff, like journals for example.

And if you've read my blog post(s) about brainstorming ideas for stories, then you'll get why journals are very important to me. And some people may say "Well, writing your ideas on a book is better..." (They're probably right, when it comes to convenience.) But having something physical like a journal filled with pages, and a pen/pencil in your hand... that always makes me feel right at home.

So, after seeing this photo of my journal, you might be wondering: Well, is Veronica going to tell us about her third book of the Dolphin Princess series? Well, not yet. I'm still in the brainstorming process of Book 3. What I can tell you is that a lot of research will be involved, and that this book is supposed to be serious... (and I can't explain why). So sorry. NO SPOILERS!!!
