What of the things (the "writer" things) that I can't be without is my pencil sharpener.
This one is purple, and it's round. And it's not just the color and cute shape that I like about this pencil sharpener: it also has a small compartment where it keeps the pencil shavings; and when it's full, you can just open the hatch and throw away the shavings.
That's way better than standing at a trash bin sharpening your pencil, and washing the shavings slowly drop (IN MY OPINION).
So, how did this beloved pencil sharpener go missing?
First of all, I'm cleaning my room all the time, because I want to get rid of things and papers that I don't use, and I want to make room for newer things.
So, I was going through the stuff, and sure enough: My pencil sharpener goes missing. (I believe this happened after Christmas 2018, because I was using it to draw out the front cover to Dolphin Princess: The Crown of Valeria.) For some strange reason, the sharpener goes missing, and I had no clue or recollection of where I had put it. Thus, the month-long search for the sharpener commenced, and I was looking everywhere in the house for it. In fact, I even went as far as buying another pencil sharpener--but that one was shaped like a trash bin, and the feel of sharpening the pencil wasn't smooth like the purple sharpener was.
Luckily, I didn't use any pencils as much during the time of the search--I was already accustomed to using pens whenever I write. But what about when I'm drawing? That was when I would miss the sharpener, was when I would draw.
So, how DID you find that sharpener?
(Funny you should ask.) One day in February of this year (2019), I was watching TV or something, and I had walked over to the side of my bed for no reason. And that was when I saw it--the purple pencil sharpener. It sat there for a whole month without me knowing it. And then it dawned on me: I must've pull it there, when I was cleaning my room at the beginning of 2019.
Now, ever since the missing-pencil-sharpener mishap, I wanted to make sure that I would never lose it again, because that sharpener is special to me--That's a writer's tool, you know. So, I make sure that the sharpener is either in my purse or on the desk where I can see it.
And I guess the moral of this story is to cherish the things you love, and make sure you keep them in a safe place.
